It just depends on whether your 4.8 is a generation 4 motor or not. If the 4.8 is gen 4 than I don't think it would be much of a problem. If it isn't then you would have a problem.

Default sensors..

find out where your cam sensor is, some are in the front like 2005 and up, and is on the left on the timing chain cover and has a harness connector plugged in to it, others like the ls1 have the sensor in the back of the engine block on the top of it, behind the intake manifold where the small block Chevy have the distributor, them just contact Comp cams with more info, but I'm sure they will know just what you need. good lock.

I'll school you on what the difference is..just to put you in your place.

That and to explain to anyone else that has ran into the same issue.

If it's a true LS2 Cam take a very close look at the rear of the Cam and you will see there is no Reluctor Wheel. For the Gen III Engines what is needed is the LS2 Timing Cover, Cam Sensor, and 1X Timing Gear. Then the stock wiring will have to be extended to the front Cover. Gen IV Engines are setup like this stock, like mentioned.

You puttin that 4.8l in the mullet red Iroc? It'll perform better than that **** L98..or that 408 excuse of an engine in that '85..
