Default just got my ride back

some of you may rember when i posted on here 2 months ago.. i wrecked my 99 z28 doin a massive burnout totaled.. and saved it here is the before and after pretty amazing what a check book can do :]

































I added a few touches while it was in the body shop.. will post engine bay pics too just didn't have my keys when i took the pics also I am putting the Z28 badges back on soon and the front camaro badge.. getting the mirrors painted too

I just couldn't let her go.. still workin out some kinks but i'm amazed at how well it held up
I just had it aligned yesterday and it rides and drives just like it used to

i took the shock tower from my donor car.. looks great if i wouldnt have had the donor car i couldn't have done it

took the windshield, shock tower, frame rail, control arm, passenger air bag, dash, and a few other pieces of metal.. got the bumper and fender from a buddy (traded the front end off my donor car to him and he did and LT1 front end conversion) and the hood was saved since it was fiberglass

here are the under hood pics.. still gotta get the bottom of the hood painted though

No although i am going to school for body work. I was up there every day for two months though. Collision Specialists of Belleville, Illinois. The same guy did all the body work on my dads 71 charger and my bosses 73 455 Trans Am. All the work on my car totaled $5500.

thats a hefty bill, but nice job getting it looking good and back on the road again. enjoy! (just no more burnouts on a curvy street lol)

Wow man, when you posted the pics after it happened I felt so bad for you. The car looks great bud, hefty bill, but its your money, your car, and you did what you wanted so congrats.

Whoa.

Too bad the LT1 tower has the old style fuel line port in it. Looks like an amazing recovery.

Confused why they didn't prime and edge that hood before they put it on... looks good though!

Wow I remember your thread about wrecking it looks great man. I just got out of school for collision repair I clipped a tree earlier this year and bent the frame rail I straightened it out with a tree and come-along. Lol
