Sad day for my Z
So it was a little windy the other night with some strong gusts, I left to go to the store and everything seemed fine, it was about 11pm so it was dark, and on my way back I crossed over the top of a hill, when a 60 foot long tree get blown over then road, I slammed the brakes and ripped the ebrake but it had rained early so the ground was a bit damp, the car in front of me hit the brakes and pulled to the right, so intead of rear ending him I went straight and hope for the best, I managed to turn a bit so I hit all the branches and no the main trunk but it still did plenty of damage, apparently USAA doesnt have anyone working on the weekends so I filled out a claim online and Im currently waiting for a call, I hope since it was a weather releated incifent that they will waive my $1000 deductible. I attached some pics of the aftermath

Well I had a buddy who had the same type of accident and they waived it for him, so Im hoping they'll do the same, but yea at least I didnt get hurt. I mostly pissed cause I bought a bunch of parts for the car then this happens the next night

Well USAA called me, apparently since the tree didnt fall directly on my car, it doesnt count as a "act of god", they're calling it a collision, which it was but c'mon, Im pretty sure a tree being knocked over my wind should count as a weather accident
