Default itching to pull the car out of winter storage

the weathers getting nicer, days getting longer, and im am getting tired of driving the s10. everytime i step into the garage and see it sitting under the tarp i start daydreaming about being behind the wheel. lol when are you other northerners planning on pulling your cars out. winter lasts way to long

I usually wait until a few good rains come through and wash the salt off the roads towards the end of March or start of April.

the roads have been salted here a total of 3 times this winter, i think. shocking for iowa. it rained pretty hard the other day so the roads here are good to go. ive just got to replace my window motors when i pull her out, the drivers side motor is dead and the passengers side is slow as ****. oh joy

I agree with the above. I usually wait for a few good rains, but like GroundZ-28ero said, it has hardly snowed in our area this year. IT was a weird winter and I was even able to take my car out in January and not have to worry about snow or salt. Of course, hasn't ran since that day..

We literally had no snow here for a month from January to February. I put my car on the road in the beginning February... Expecting the weather to cooperate and stay away. I drove my car for 2 days, then we just got snow and icy roads... And tons of salt. The weather has finally cleared and we've had multiple rainy days, so the roads are cleared of salt and I'm excited now. I'm taking my car back out tomorrow. Its supposed to be near 50 tomorrow, and near 60 some days next week.

Was driving it in the 70*, sunny weather we had out here today. The Camaro in the sig is my daily driver and only car, but I do have trucks that I'm able to use if the roads get salty or the weather turns really bad. Haven't had to do that at all this season, been rolling it non-stop since April 2011 when I bought it, so I can't really complain.

Im waiting til the end of March... average lows are generally above 32* by then so even if its **** weather it wont snow or freeze so they wont drop more salt.

I covered mine and put it in storage mid November. It has hardly snowed here also, and the weather ended up being mostly fine during the two months I had it stored. So, I decided to take it back out in January and drive it when the weather was good. We got a pretty good snowfall about four days after I brought it back out, but since then I've gotten in a decent amount of good days to drive the car. Much more fun to drive than the Suburban, and getting the better gas mileage when I can is always a plus.

We got close to 6 inches of snow yesterday so not for a while lol.

Its supposed to really warm up this week so I hope that Spring is near.

I have a small garage so I dont want to take it our until I can be sure that it is out for the year. Probably wait till the end of the month, maybe first week or two of April even.
