SS floormat - gas pedal sticks
so i did a search on this and i see i'm not the only one who has the occasional issue of the gas pedal sticking (at part or full throttle) under the SS floormat. i read where one guy actually wrecked his car because of this.
happened to me today while entering my favorite 15mph turn at 45mph+ with the selector in 2nd. this spot has concrete 3ft barriers on each side that seem to have been put there to enhance the auditory experience of modded muscle car enthusiasts coming out of the turn at WOT. i was expecting a little engine braking help ease off 2-3mph while entering the turn, only to be delighted by the surprise of a stuck throttle. i had no choice but to steer through the fishtail with the throttle stuck open part way. it was an awesome powerslide that used up all of the available road and looked intentional to the disgruntled cyclists a short ways down the road.
******* hell..
how do you keep that damned mat from creeping up to the gas pedal?

I have no idea how this happened to you, do you have them in there properly? Is your mat warped or something? I drive mines everyday with the SLP SS floormats and have never had any problem like this.
There should be a cutout in your drivers side mat that leaves the accelerator pedal a relatively open space, I don't see how it's possible to get the accelerator stuck if your drivers side mat is placed like this.

It happened to me yesterday. Once I got it shut down and off the road I saw the mat on the bottom of the pedal. That is the first time it has happened in the 8 years I have had it.
So from now on I plan to check the mat's position before driving it.

PS It does get your attention when it happens!
