Advice on the fuel system on the LQ4 im building
So.... I bought an LQ4 long block for my 95Z... I need to find the cheapest way to put on an intake, fuel rails, injectors, TB, and coils i guess also. I am just wanting to get this thing up and running and then upgrade to a FAST 102 and all the other good stuff later. I have seen an ls1 intake complete with rails and tb for a few hundred on Ebay??....Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..... PS i know it's better to build it the right way the first time but I also have to do paint and body work.....The plan is to do a whole new top end in a year or so...... Thanks

I looked into a V6 to LSx swap a few years ago which would be just as involved as a LT1 to LSx swap, and honestly I think it would be cheaper and easier to just buy a LS1 f-body.

2 Late, on that notion.... Not sure why you believe that though... it bolts right up to the T-56, wire in the computer, new k member, and u have a LSx in a LT body.... I picked up my Z for $2500.. I havent seen a ls1 Z with a 6 speed for less than 5 or 6k...unless its thrashed......anyways the build has started so to late..

95Z-$2500
LQ4-$700
LS6 intake-$450
PCM/wiring-$300
oil pan-$200
coils/mounting brackets-$100
k-member-$100
..........$4350
Thats just a start, and I'm guessing low on some of those numbers. Spending another $1000+ in nickle and dime parts just to get it running wont be hard. Now your over the $5000 that you could find a LS1 f-body for. But it's your time and money so what ever makes you happy.
