Looking for this Information plate
Hey there,
You know the vehicle information plate that most cars have on the inside of the driver door near the door striker? My 01 Firebird doesn't have one. Is it supposed to? Is it located somewhere else? All I can find is the VIN by the windsheild. Please let me know. Thanks.

I looked in my '01 T/A just now for you to see if the info was anywhere else and I could not locate anything. I checked the trunk, glove box, and engine compartment. Nothing but the door. Sorry.

That is the SPID sticker and it's factory applied on the assembly line, you cannot get a new one through the dealer.
However, there are places that do reproductions of factory labels for body shops and restorations. You might want to look into such an option:

OK thanks guys. I looked in the manual and it says that it is on the driver side door, which was replaced. So, my question is. I bought the car at auction with a salvage title. Will I have any problems getting tags for the car without this? Or will the VIN on the dash be ok? Thanks.

Every state has certain requirements. I don't think anyone can answer for certain here. I personally would think the VIN would be sufficient off-hand, but when it comes to salvage titles it could be different.
