Do you think these cars will be valuable some day?

Do you think these cars will be valuable some day?
Do you think the 4th generation Camaros and Trans Ams will ever be rare collectibles and extremely valuable? Kind of like the muscle cars from the 60's and 70's are today?
I understand that today it's a different generation, there isn't the same kind of muscle car craze, kids don't even care about getting their license at 16 anymore, and we are moving away from being such a car centric society, but still...I'd like to think if I hold onto my car long enough, and keep it in good shape, it will be a rare and valuable classic some day.
What's your take?

I don't think so as a general rule. Certain cars sure (firehawks, anny cars, low mile stock examples). Something with classic muscle cars is that they have a nostalgic feeling to them. It's why people pay way more than they are worth at auctions.
Also many of the classic cars are rust buckets and because of that finding a solid example is harder than I think doing the same with a 4th gen will be 20 years from now.

IMO, I do believe they will have some value, why, take a look at some of 70's cars. I will not name any because it may upset someone, but most of the cars after 71'ish looked like crap! Some were still nice, like the TA but most, were just ugly and emissions killed them...

I think only rare, stock low mileage ones will be. Even then, not $100k+ like some rare 60s F bodys.
They just didn't revolutionize the way we view cars like back in the 60's. Performance cars were already around, and they made lots of them. I sure hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it.

Valuable is the key word in the poll and I will say YES for the 'stock' very low mileage examples that still remain at the 25+ year mark. It's the same with almost every sports or muscle car from Mustangs to Porsches. The one or two owner pristine examples will draw good money and thus be valuable. The cars with well over 6 figures on the odometer with a half dozen owners, not so valuable. Eventually, if gas is affordable and available, I'm sure even these so-so condition cars will be snapped up and 'restored' and then become 'valuable'. Nothing really changes as far as car lovers' desires.

its going to take twice as long for these cars to become valuable as it did for the 60's-70s cars to because there are to many of them and with the composite materials they are lasting longer. It took 30 to 40 years for the "muscle" cars to become as valuable as they are. Plus with all the drivers aids they aren't getting wrecked as much as they used to. What do you think of what a STOCK 2000 WS6 one owner 20k mile car will go for in 2030 or 2040? $50k? $60K?

I say other, will they ever be worth $175,000 no. But I do expect in time for them to increase in value some, to say $10,000-$25,000 for a good condition car depending on it's rarity.

they will be to a certian small segment, just like they are now. and of course only special editions and super perfect low mile garage queens will have any real value. but to those of us who love them, they will always be one of the best platforms because they are affordable, easy to mod, reliable, and plain fun to drive. however, it is few and far between that will increase in value.

I think that they will always be collectible, especially 30+ years from now when everything is a turbocharged 4 cylinder/hybrid/electric. However, I don't see them getting to the ridiculous levels of some classics today. I think that the ceiling may be around $30-40K in today's money for low-mileage, unmolested limited edition models.

Im sure the ws6 will since it was the last gen it was created. Camaros will too, but probably a bit less. Ive already seen trans ams gain value in my area. Not sure if its because theyre actually worth more, or the economy got a bit better.

This thread is like the one just ended by the moderator about the some people thinking they were sitting on a gold mine, it will go on for as long as it can until somebody disrespect somebody else and it will have to be stopped also.

They will never be super high value cars because they just weren't and aren't that remarkable. I think WS6's are one of the cooler looking american v8 cars made in general, so I'll pay for one. How many "me's" are out there? That's the question. Because there are pleeeeenty of other performance cars to choose from. And all the new cars are better in most ways than 4 gens are.
