Wobbling after 100? I have a 1999 Trans Am and after about 100 going into 4th it starts to feel as if its wobbling side to side and i have to get out of it because it gets so sketchy. Any ideas of what could be the cause? It has no sway bar if that could be the cause of any of this. |
im sure that would be a major reason for your wobbling. |
I disagree.check your front suspension for wear/play/ tightness and front rims/ tires and maybe alignment.both my fbodys have no swaybar upfront and no wobbling here. |
Your tires will play a major role as well. Too worn? Alignment? Mongrel make? Speed rated? Balanced? |
stock suspension? may be wore out |

Is it more like a vibration, like a wheel is out of balance, or the drive shaft is out of balance, or something is rubbing? Or is it suspension related like a loose, floaty, bouncy, disconnected feel? |
possibly a tire with a broken belt. ive been thru several like that in my durango, but usualy theres a wobble at a slower speed as well, for example around 45, and then again around 80 or so. usualy due to bashing a huge unseen pothole, dam crappy roads, there suspension killers |

it is definitely a side to side floating kind of feeling, brand new kumho ecsta 4x 275 tires. It started after swapping the engine and putting everything back together |
id recheck to make sure everything is torqued down correctly. |

it seems some have experienced excessive body roll from removing their front sway bar. http://www.ls1.com/forums/f66/front-sway-bar-135642/ |
