2002 Camaro SS Heat blowing cold at idle!!??
I need some help! The heat in the Camaro has started blowing ice cold while sitting at a red light and a stop sign. When I start driving again it blows hot again. The car heats up normally and doesn't even come close to overheating. Am I still looking at a thermostat, heater core or air in the coolant maybe?

could be a flow problem to the heater core. Lines, or the heater core itself. When this happened on my 96 v6, it was a clogged up heater core, so it only flowed with the higher pressure of driving, but cooled off when stopped, just like you.
Check your coolant, make sure it's not gunky looking...

Do yourself a favor and check the coolant level before you do any of these other things. You'd be surprised how many times this happens. Matter a fact my kids car was just having the same issue today, told him to check the coolant, it was low and now is all well.
If it isn't that then I would agree with a blockage somewhere stopping the flow when the car isn't under load. Good luck man and hopefully you figure it out.

Thanks guys! Coolant level was indeed low. Filled it up and all is good. Fluid is a little murky in there so going to do a coolant flush this week. Thanks again!

Coolant is the devil
Looks like a bunch of guys beat me to it. Can range from low coolant, to blocked radiator or heater core, t-stat stuck open, bad radiator cap
Even seen these things overheat by being low on AC refrigerant...dont ask me how we figured that one out
Making sure all the easy stuff is looked over first, you might want to upgrade to a high quality radiator assembly, should the problem come up again!
