Not sure what the point or intent of this comment was, but nothing relevant was removed. Some inappropriate remarks were made and those were deleted, nothing more.

Smart move! I've ordered from FTI multiple times, good product and good service. Depending on your price point, ATI often costs more but also makes a great product with good service. Plenty of choices out there to not have to deal with a hot head like jake.

No reason a customer needs to put up with any business owner that calls them a spoiled little bitch or tells them to **** off. But since he brags about his blacklist of customers I'll certainly add his company to my blacklist of companies I'll ever give a dollar to!

That was meant out of respect. In the sense you cleared outsider comments within reason, due to the company not being a sponsor.

I wasn't referring to any comments that may have been deleted.

Default Update

UPDATE: The shop said last week Thursday they had called Jakes and shipping had been paid and they said it was waiting pickup. Jakes shop said they have address to send trans too. I was told that I will receive tracking as soon as they provide them with it. No tracking and no information as of today. They have had my trans since Aug 17. I'm at the mercy of having to deal with the previous shop who has not been provided with any info. I said I will be notifying their local police if I do not have tracking by tomorrow.

Jakes responded to previous shop with tracking just now. They put them as recipient...but was told multiple times to ship to current shop and they said they even said they had the current address where it should go. The previous shop said worst case scenario he will drive it to the current shop when it arrives. Glad that the previous shop has and still is currently taking care of the situation with whatever they can do. Over a month of wasted time, no vehicle, money, and extreme aggrevation while my transmission sits there collecting dust. Smh

I would never consider buying a transmission from anybody else, for as long as he is in business due to the extreme patience and understanding he had shown me so many years ago. He never once gave up or got angry despite me being a whiney 17 year old kid calling every day for help. Thats REAL customer service, when you treat everyone, even the little guy, with respect and patience, no matter what happens and even when there is no $$ to be made.
Dana helped me build my 700R4 to support a 400sbc I planned on putting in my car prior to deciding on the LS swap. Part of the reason I am keeping the 700R while doing the swap. It's built right and should last just fine for me. This guy's kits are legit.

WOW!!!!! wish I'd found this before Ordering Trans from them.
I Ordered a 4L80E trans for a LS motor. BLAH,BLAH,BLAH back and fourth with Jakes, I Get an email "We are refunding your money" Figured that's cool I Don't respond, After reading this I should Feel Lucky!!!
The next email I get is here's a copy of your receipt, ( I purchased off of their Black Friday add, Check out on website under Blog Section)
I made a deposit of $1550.00 my Refund was $1085.00 They kept $465.00 as a restocking Charge, even When I called the same day trans was already SOLD to someone Else.

Their web site,,, Terms & Conditions
First Paragraph, lines 10 & 11
We take your order, when we are ready to begin work on your unit,
we will contact you for payment THEN begin work on transmission.

I did not make payment, therfore trans shouldn't have been Started on bench or built So why restocking charge on something that shouldn't have been started.

Like I said Wish I'd found this sooner. Probably Very lucky I got what I got back.

I know you got a converter. But what costed 5k in the first place? And your saying that your vendor is responsible for your trans and converter because they were the ones that purchased your product? Wow. And how long does it take to put a trans brake valve body in? Rossler. There is no substitute. Period.
