Default Temperature Gauges

I recently did a swap and installed Dakota digital cluster with a Bim Module to read engine temperature. this gauge is reading directly from ECU. It never gets passed 180-185 degrees according to this cluster. I decided to install an additional mechanical gauge with autometer sending unit. Here is what I find odd. Under normal driving condition the mechanical gauge reads 150 more less but the Dakota digital reads 180. That's 30 degrees difference. Hello!!!!!!

Mechanical gauges will typically read lower if the tubing you use is over a couple of feet long.
