Default Density altitude

Can someone explain this to me? Is the higher the number or the lower the number better?

"Density altitude is pressure altitude corrected for nonstandard temperature. As temperature and altitude increase, air density decreases. In a sense, it's the altitude at which the airplane "feels" its flying." Basically what this is saying is the higher the DA, the less amount of oxygen is available for your engine, so less performance.

https://airdensityonline.com/ look up your track. It won't be perfect and they only update it about every 45 mins.
