Well the new Z06 is unveiled with a rumored starting price of around 90,000$ which will be out of reach for 98% of people until the newer generation comes out and people can get their hands on used ones.

670 hp @ 8,400 RPM
460 lb-ft @ 6,300 RPM
and a redline of 8,600 RPM



I know there are those on the sight looking to scoop one up. We may have to add a new subforum for this engine.

Not sure if this is going to migrate to other platforms like the camaro,but I don't see it being something that goes into a truck. So it may be like the ZR-1 LT5 Engine from the C4 and only be small one off thing. Or maybe there will be a GM performance crate motor based off this platform in the future.

As someone who will not be able to afford the new Z06 (and new C8 for that matter) I look forward to seeing what people can do with this platform as well as to what chassis this power plant winds up getting swapped into

I can see how it makes sense for the application in question (C8 Z06), but it probably wouldn't be popular as a crate engine due to initial cost, complexity, and the (likely better) affordability of making this kind of power (and more) with older, simpler tech using forced induction.

It would be really cool for the LT6 to have a limited run in the 2023 Camaro when the 6th Gen goes out of production. Last ultimate gas NA engine, perfect for and ens of the Z28 model.
