What is everyone's issue with the Camaro seats? I think they feel just as good to sit in as the Trans Am seats. And yes, I've owned both, and I just don't get it?
I see no difference in comfort between the two. They both feel fine. Maybe you guys are super huge or something. I'm 5'9" and 175lbs, and the Camaro seat is a perfect fit.

On a serious note though I have always like the T/A's and WS6's way more in general. Stock to stock they are nicer hands down but with some rims, hood if needed and the Camaro's look good too.
I really like the look of a black SS, or camaro with an SS hood, same ****......... with some nice chrome rims, Z06's are nice!, and tinted out. Add some ground effects on there and you have a very nice looking camaro. JMO

I was all over the board for awhile. I was hell bent on a 98+ WS6 t/a forever, but the more I looked at them, the busier they got. Hands down I always thought the lt1 z28s/SS cars look meaner than the ls1 versions. I was pretty mad when I first saw the 98+ camaros with the 'buick/concorde' headlights.
The 4th gen ws6 cars were really what got me going, and they're MY perfect car. The badass interior, which is shared on all the t/a's, and MUCH cleaner lines. I think a ls1 t/a with the liscence plate cutout filled would look better and with a firehawk hood.
Right now, I'm with simple badass cleanliness....nothing can touch this look (photoshopped a members car as I'm ws6 cloning my t/a)
Shame its not an ls1.....but at the same time, I kinda like that too

There is NO performance difference. They all have the same motors, transmissions and gears.
The weight difference between a fully loaded Z28 and a Trans Am is about 60 lbs or so. That equates to less then a tenth difference at the track.
Hardly worth using it as a deciding factor when picking which car to buy. Especially since there are a lot of weight reduction tricks as well as Formulas being in line with Z28 curb weights.

I love both cars, but IMO the bird looks better,is a bit easier to get it and out of (for me..don't know why). The only things I like better in Camaro's are no worries about headlight motors and the camaro seats are more comfortable to me.I wouldn't kick neither out of bed
Camaro seats fit, fill snd support my back better than a bird's seats do,but that might be because i'm a 6 foot 250lb bodybuilder and the camaro seats are wider.I'm even thinking about putting some camaro seats in my formy eventually.

No. I would not trade my camaro for a t/a. When I first started to shop for an ls1 car I was looking for a trans am over a camaro, either would do but I preferred the t/a. After a while I found the t/a's lines to be a little extreme. It is almost like Pontiac tried TOO hard to make a good looking car. If you step back and look at them they are quite different from any other car. I wanted something a little more conservative. The camaro is mean as hell looking and they are more streamlined and I dont really know how to say it but I guess "faster" looking. T/As with there big curves and wing just look heavier to me. I love both cars but I still prefer my Z.

I'm most fond of the Camaro SS (love the hood, the spoiler and the 10 spoke chrome wheels most of all). The WS6 Trans Am is a close second for me...love the hood on those as well!
I agree that the nose of the Camaro needs a little work.....that's why I put a billett grill on the front with the 1967 Camaro SS emblem to compliment.....it's a nice looking way to distinguish my SS from most of the others you see on the road.

I think the Trans Am looks "sleeker", especially in black.. so I bought one..
One HUGE caveat though.. they look great with the headlights DOWN. I think the nose is aggressive as hell, and like the rear spoiler..
The taillights would be nicer if they did a sequential blink a'la '60's Shelby Mustang..

I wanted a Camaro, I never really even considered a Trans Am although I do admit they have a much nicer interior. In a perfect world I'd swap the interior along with the bose system from the 96 Camaro I had. I can't believe how much better that system was than the POS monsoon.
There's some really nice TA's on this board that I wouldn't mind having but I'd never trade my Camaro to get one.

I liked both, each has its own wonderful characteristics. I think the T/As have some really cool lines and the interior is a little more done up than the Camaro. The Camaro was kind of boring, minus the SS, which has aggressive styling that I like. I always wanted both, so now I have them. Im indifferent, they are both great cars. My dad just got a Z28, he likes the subtle looks, with all the performance. I proudly drive either one. Its better than any Jap crap.

I prefer the look of my Formula. It has more of a no-nonsence street racer look. I don't like the cladding/wing on the Trans Am. I do like the Firehawk Formula's most. The Camaro nose needs something in my opinion.
