Ronnie Duke held the fastest LS1 record (in the 7's) for awhile with a Pontiac Firehawk which we all know is basically a TA with a raptor hood. Or does this not ring any bells? But that point is equally stupid because records are made by engines setups, transmissions, traction, race weight and driver skill. Not body panels and hoods
I mean really. I have heard people argue engine vs engine (mostly LS1 vs LT1) based on ET records with valid technical data. I have heard people argue Transmission choices (manual vs automatic) based on ET records with valid technical data. But I have never (until now) heard anyone try to argue body panels, hoods and interiors (Camaro vs TA) based on ET records when clearly no technical data can be offered
Unless you count curb weight as technical data

I think the Z28 is more of the sleeper car. A Formula has the nice curves of the T/A so it'll still get doubletakes. Whereas a Z28 looks like a Sebring is coming at you.
I love my Z though, and wouldn't get rid of it for the world.

Camaro Fan here! I liked the camaro so much that I bought another one right after my last one was totaled. I'm totaly happy with my car. I do like the WS6 looks too but dont like the gorilla nose on the hood.

Anyway, I enjoy my plane-ext Z28. It's proportions are enough for me, although I do plan on an SS hood and spoiler.

I sold my Camaro because I wanted a T/A so bad. I blame all those episodes of Knight Rider that I watched as a kid. When I decided to LS1 I couldn't bring myself to buy a Z28. I prefer the look of the LT1 Camaros to the newer ones.
Now, if only I had bought a WS6...
