Default Nosing over at high rpm.

I notice when I wind out 2nd and 3rd they seem to nose over at/right before yellow-line. (about 56-5700 or so)

Is it normal to be nosing over about there? I hear LS1's LOVE! to make power up-top but a lot of dyno charts I see show that its peak hp is around 53-5400rpm. So I guess nosing over at 55-5700 is normal? Anyone else feel this? It isnt a BIG nose over, just isnt pinning me back as hard is all.

What the hell is "nosing over"?

If you mean losing power, mine pulls harder and harder all the way to 6100rpm, with just a lid and catback. Doesn't feel like it loses any power all the way to redline.

Pulls less-hard after 5600, not like a brick wall, but not QUITE as hard. How do you pull harder and harder making less and less hp?

Meaning that once I go WOT, the power doesn't seem to let up at all until the upshift. I feel no loss in power from 5600rpm to 6000rpm. '98-'00 cam has more lift than '01+ cam though.

Odd, All the stock LS1 dynoes show a power peak then loss at around 54-5600.

I've never dynoed this car, so I can't speak on exact numbers, but I certainly can't feel any loss from mid-5k to the 6k upshift. It was the same with my '99 and '00 cars as well, when they were at bolt-on level.

Meh, "not pulling at a linear rate past 5600rpm".

THAT is what I mean by my car "noses over".

not like it hits a wall, it just isnt pulling harder and harder. I looked at a dyno graph and it looks like it is doing just what the dyno says it is. I just wonder why people say theirs pulls harder and harder to redline.

I still don't know why it doesnt pull harder and harder to redline and seems to just level off at around 56-5700 or so when everyone else says they pull harder and harder to redline. Are their butt-dyno's off?

i dont know man... my car is only between 5600 and redline for a very short time so its pretty hard to tell... its not like your driving a ricemobile that's in each gear for a minute or 2

https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamometer-results-comparisons/647214-my-first-dyno-run.html

^That guy's dyno is JUST! what it feels like is happening. I just wanna know why people say they pull harder and harder to redline. I only notice this indescrepancy when in 3rd usually b/c the other gears wind out too fast to tell like you say.

thats on a basically stock car... i think most of the people talking about it pulling harder and harder have at least a cam... which is gonna make a huge dif up top
