As the title says, I installed a cut out today and smiled all the way home, I will find out tomorrow at the track if it will help.

I got the electric ones, and started to wonder why I needed to do anything but leave them open. Then one of the electric motors failed, and it was open cut-out city after that.

Glad ya like the cutout! It's a great, cheap mod to do.

For me it's not since I can just jack it up and tighten 3 wing nuts(If I ever put the plate back on).

I have only put my cutout plate back on once, and that was for emissions.

No need to for an electric unless your local cops have a hard on for you, IMO

it sounds badass with lt's and y pipe. a bit raspy if you dont have cats, but still sounds good.

Well, believe it or not having anything other than the stock exhaust gives the cutout a better tone.....personally IMO, cutout sounds like **** with stock exhaust FWIW

He said cat-back, not headers. If the cutout is in the y-pipe, it makes no difference what is behind it.

Did he mean cutout before buying his catback, or did he mean cutout placed before his catback??? Yes a cutout placed before his catback wouldn't make a difference in sound really, however a cutout placed under rear passenger seat will have a sound variance depending on what catback you have....going off what I have experienced
