f you have a Camaro why didn't you get a Firebird? If you have a Firebird why didn't you get a Camaro? I have always wondering this. I personally have one of each now but when the LS1's 1st came out I wanted a Trans Am WS6. Its a long story but before i ended up with a LS1 TA a few months ago, I had 3 LS1 Camaro's So I do like the Camaro a little more than the TA but there are things i love about the TA. What about you guys?

You should have added another choice. I got a Camaro because I have always owned Camaros. I currently have a 73 z28 and a 2002 SS but I voted that they all kick ***. Nothing against TAs I like them just as much. Also TAs tend to cost slightly more for the same amount of performance.

I had a couple of WS6's, but I always seemed to like the SS's better. The Trans Am's have too much going on as far as the ground effects and all the other plastic stuff. The Camaro was always alittle cleaner looking and not too much going on. No offense, just my opinion. Plus, the Camaro's are lighter and I don't have to worry about the door panel cracking near the window, he he he!!!

I picked They all Kick ***
But I Ordered a Formula Because I didn't want T-tops and Leather (both Standard in Trans Am's) and I had owned Pontiac's for 8+ years so I stuck with Pontiac.
The Rarity thing is just a Plus IMO

I didn't vote because you don't have something close enough to ""I bought a Camaro SS because I love the looks of them, the hoods and front ends on the 98-02 are just the best. and the on steroids look of the T/A's suck". IMO

I have owned both. After 4 years of owning a Trans Am, I decided that I liked the cleaner lines of the Camaro better. The Trans Am has become too flashy for me. The Camaro seems more "muscluar" and less "sport" than the T/A.
IMO, the base T/A and the Camaro have an an equally aggressive front, with the WS6 being the most aggressive. But the Camaro has a much more aggressive rear than any of the 'birds. As for the profile view, I like the Camaro better.
In terms if interior, I like them equally overall. I don't like the hard plastic seatbacks on the T/As with the lumbar support option. And I don't like gages as much on the T/A (speedo only has markings for every 5mph rather than every 1mph like the Camaro). But the T/A has nicer A/C vents, and the red dash lighting is nice.

I bought both for the LS and the T56!, but Im still deciding
So far i still prefer the body lines of the WS6, and the 17" rims are probably one of the finest sets of stock wheels ever offered(IMO). Who am i kidding, I pretty much prefer the TA for everything. lol, I am driving a GTP too which kinda has stylin hints from the TA, so its almost like being 2 against 1! But since gettin it, i have a lot more respect for the styling of the Camaro

I bought both my Camaros because I got a good price on both of them. I want a WS6 but they're out of my price range right now. I love my Z though. The interior is a lot better than my lt1 was.

I bought my first LS1 (2000 Z/28) because I had owned a couple of 3rd gen Camaros. I have always been a "Chevy" guy and of course the Camaro was my favorite car! I never even considered a T/A (although I think the WS6 cars are VERY sexy!) When my car was totaled and it was time to look for something else, I entertained the idea of picking up a WS6...But my best friend just looked at me one day and said
"Do you REALLY want a TransAm?"...
You can check my sig for the car I went with

The 98-02 WS6 in my mind is one of the best looking cars ever produced! Everywhere I go I have people stop, stare, even turn around backwards to look at it as I drive by (even happened last night) My buddy with an 01 SS, black as well, has told me that he is gonna sell his and keep his customized truck....he said: "The SS just doesnt get any attention, people dont give it a 2nd look, they act like its just another car."
"Never had that problem" is all I replied
