Auto zone O2's???

Ok, so my O2's are getting pretty crappy, and auto zone and such, does not carry any AC Delco ones, that I have been told to get. All they got is Bosch ones, wast of money??? My car is running like crap.

Bosch is a good brand for O2 sensors and they work well with long tubes..

BriancWS6 06-17-2007 04:10 PM

Bosch O2s are fine. I run them, and have for a while with good results. If you ever plan to get longtubes, go ahead and get the vette rears, part #13111 IIRC. They are longer and will save you some bucks from having to buy extensions.

DisturbingDaPeaze 06-17-2007 04:13 PM

yup 13111 for long tubes. no need for extensions

whitedevil 06-17-2007 04:32 PM

Yeah, I got long tubes, and I have heard that a few times, thanks guys, I was weary about using them, not now.

SHINER 06-17-2007 05:08 PM

i go through AC Delcos quickly for some reason, but my car seems to like the boschs better, and they have not fouled up on me for a long time, so im gonna keep buying them.

whitedevil 06-17-2007 05:41 PM

What in fact will cause the car to "foul" them??? The tune making it way to rich? I dont want to have to buy more, because they were 70 a piece....

SHINER 06-17-2007 07:09 PM

70 a piece?

thats a lot, i never paid that much

Longtubes and ORY= death to O2's twice as fast just because of the increase of carbon deposits that accumulate on them instead of catatlytic converters intercepting some of the "soot"

thats my experience with them.

With AC Delcos i was getting a new set every 3-4 months

Boschs are now going on 6 months

Every bosch Ive ever purchased was a piece of crap and hardly ever cycled mv's when I was driving around with the laptop hooked up and scanning. I pulled one Bosch o2 and replaced it with an AC delco and the Delco would cycle, even though it had 50k miles on it, but the Bosch would not.

After going to SEMA last year though, I found out that NGK actually makes the ACdelco O2's along with the Denzo O2's. I plugged a set of Denso O2's in the car and they have not let me down yet. They are fairly lead resistant too, so if you dont have cats, using race gas is an option once again.
