Default When to go synthetic on shortblock

I purchased a shortblock from TSP. I have waited the 5,000 mile break in period with conventional oil. I am wanting to switch to synthetic. Should I change it gradually or all at once. I was thinking half conventional half synthetic.

Just drain the old **** and dump all synthetic in this time....

And besides doing it for warranty's sake..there really is no reason to wait 5k to consider a motor "broken in"
