I saw a very nice 06 Z06 and was speechless!
I was cruising today in my 00 WS6 when i came across an amazing looking 2006 Z06! We stopped next to each other at a light and I was able to look his car over a bit. It didn't look like he had anything done to it, but I think that car has plenty of power when stock. Anyways, I sat there hoping he would give me a bit of a show. The light turned green and he took off like a bat out of hell! I was just hoping my car could keep up long enough to just be able to keep him in sight and get a lil show. I watched him get sideways clear down the road as I marveled in amazement, ha ha ha. I do not believe I have ever seen a street car accelerate that fast before. He was just barely holding on to that thing. I followed him for a bit, just long enough to appreciate the power that car makes. He had huge meats on the back of that thing and he was just roasting them every time he took off. I looked over and told my girlfriends, "I think I am going to have to get me one of those". That is, if I ever hit the lottery. Here I am 10 hours later still thinking about that car.

Yeah, i feel you on that one "Starz T/A 17". No-one in my family knows jack **** about cars. I try and explain to them why this or that car is so special, but just none of them get it. When i bought my WS6, not a single person in my family or friends cared a bit, mainly cause they had no idea of the kind of power they make. They all thought my V6 firebird was pretty fast, ha ha ha. I tried to explain how these cars are really powerfull, and how they no longer make them, and bla bla bla. The didn't get it one bit. So what did I do? I took each and every one of them out in and scared the **** out of them and made them understand real quickly. My girlfriend thinks my car is fast, so when i told her that Z06 was more than twice the car of mine, I think she kind of understood.

I saw one in Sunburst Orange Metallic leave a stoplight pretty damn hard. The thing sounded like it had a full exhaust! It was loud and with a GREAT tone. Don't they have some kind of exhaust flutters that open under heavier throttle? My jaw was dropped and I just stared as it tore *** down the road.

I got to take a ride in a SCCA Z06 in March. Helluva ride! The acceleration was outstanding, as expected. But the handling was just crazy. The helmet on my head felt like a bowling ball from the high Gs the car was pulling as the driver tossed it around the cones. And the guy was thrashing it all out, 4 wheel drifts and everything. Have to say, this guy was not shy about pushing the car to the limits. Car was stock except for some barely street legal racing rubber. Pic of the car:

That's Ranger. He shifted 300 rpm early going into 3rd gear but still got a 10.85. Sick driver.
