...If you were looking for a Trans am but cant find one. You need one soon. So you get curious and look at camaros and find this..

This is my situation. I need a car soon and this one looks like an option. But I really want a trans am and the miles kinda scare me. I know the ls1's last a long time if they are taken care of but still... I need advice. Thanks

Trans ams do look good, but a camaro is just as nice. The mileage is about right for that year, id go look at it and if it looks like its been taken care of i would probaly go for it. Dont be alarmed by the mileage these are tough cars

Take your time and get what you want. I love the looks of the Trans Am over the Camaro, but that's just my opinion.

and this is you're opinion. personally i don't like any camaro except for 60s, but that's my opinion.

if you WANT the bird just hold off a little longer something will pop up. it's worth waiting for what you want, i could not find the right one to get for the longest time and it came down to crunch time and i NEEDED the car that week and i had my mind set on getting this one that i didn't want that bad, i was going to call the place and tell him i was comeing up there that day but my comp froze on the add and it was late so i figured i would go on the next day. signed on and there she was at the top of the page newly added that morning MY CAR.. i had it the next day... just shop around more, if it's got anything under 100K it's good most likely

truthfully, i was lookin for another camaro and ended up gettin a t/a and i am just as happy. of course, the sts rear mount turbo and methanol intercooler sweeten the deal for me point is, they aren't THAT different.

body style only really... it all depends if you want flashy and bulky (bird) or plain and sleak (camaro)

I really wanted a Trans Am as well but I couldn't afford one. Trans Ams are easily $1000+ more than a Camaro with comparable mileage. So, I caved and picked up a Camaro instead. I don't regret it especially since it has the SS hood (one of my requirements if I was getting a Z28) but sometimes I wish I had held out for a great deal on a Trans Am. I just wanted to get rid of my truck.

You gotta be willing to travel. I drove about 200 miles one way to pick up my Trans Am since there were no 6 speed TAs in my area for a decent price. I was looking as far as 500 miles away in my searches. It would be nice if a good deal was right around the corner, but that don't always happen. I've read that people buy right over internet, fly out there and drive it back home. Good luck with your search.

dont rush into things do some searching there are always fbodies being put up for sale, look on here and autotrader. there are also those magazines that show all the listings for auto, boat and RV that you can pick up anywhere might want to give those a little lookin at.

I drove 2800 miles accross the counrty to pick mine up. Why you may ask? Becuase I looked for months and all the f bodys around here were v6's and if it was a ls1 they wanted 13 to 15 grand for it. Picked mine up in Hollywood for 6700...

If a trans am is really what u want, then i would wait or look at dealerships in different near by states. Im sure you'll be happy with a camaro however(they are lighter so a lil faster), if a ta is what u want then get it.

the camaros really aren't all that lighter than the TA's if any.

Just wait out for what you want.
