How much is my car worth?
I am trying to sell my car and am curious what you guys think I should ask for it. Here is the scoop:
1999 Chevrolet Camaro SS. Red with black leather interior. 5.7L LS1 Motor with Six–Speed (M6) Transmission. 52k miles. Some aftermarket parts. Oil changed regularly with Mobil 1. Only premium gas used. Non-Smoker. Tinted windows. Aftermarket modifications include: Hurst shifter, aftermarket lid, pulley, smooth bellow, skip shift, Jet Stage II Performance Module and Borla exhaust. I still have the factory lid, pulley and the exhaust. These will go with the car as well.
So how much?

What you offer your car at and what it sells for are two entirely different things. I think you are asking the right question in "worth" since this is what the market will determine it sells for. Dealers always over-inflate their prices to give them bargaining power, so what a dealer would "offer" it for is different than what it "sells" for.
Anyways, Edmunds.com has a great tool called the TMV (True Market Value) which tells you what cars are actually selling for in a certain zip code. Entering the details for your car gives the range of $9500 for a Private Party sale, and $11,600 for Dealer Retail. Personally, I would start at $12-$13k depending on how it looks and go down from there.
