which would yall run whats the benefits of running each

I run 5w30 because that's what gm recommends for my environment.

but doesn't the manual say that 5w-30 can go in pretty much any temperature, including a hotter temperature. (Unless it is really cold where you live)

10w30 here. 5w30 is primarily for gas mileage now a days

Yeah that's how I remember it. Hmm maybe 10w30 is the better way to go.

10W30, I'm worried less about 1-2mpg than I am longevity of my engine.

Most 5W30s will give you better wear #s than a 10W30 of the same brand.

How about GC 0W-30 (what I run) better cold start up protection yet more protection than say Mobil 1 5W-30 when hot ( closer to a 40 wt. oil)
