Default A couple quick questions about 01-02 f-bodies.

I did a few searches, but I never found any direct information.

I know the 01-02 f-bodies received new exhaust manifolds, how does the performance compare to the 98-00 models?

Does anyone know the ball park numbers an 01-02 stock fbody will dyno compared to an 98-00. A4 or M6.

It all depends on the car and what kind it is (SS/WS6)...etc. Generally though, the 98-00 models put down 310 RWHP while the 01-02 models threw down 325 bones.

The 01-02's have LS6 intakes as well. I doubt you will find any solid # differences as every car will dyno differently. If I had to guess, I'de say 10-15rwhp more in the 01-02 cars.

If you are going to mod the car it doesn't really matter. You will end up replacing everything one day.

The 98-00 cars have a worse exhaust manifold but a better cam. Between those two changes the 01s tend to dyno a little more stock.

Who cares about manifolds! They are to be replaced by headers anyway!

if you have a 98-00 model car, you can simply put an ls6 intake on it, !egr, and headers, and you will be faster than a stock 01-02. the difference in power is not really noticeable(stock for stock), unless it sees track time, and even then its only a few tenths.

If im not mistaken the 853 heads dont flow as well as the 241s.

My 02 M6 with just a lid, catback, and 3.73s dyno'd 334/358 before a dyno tune (Tuned numbers in sig)
