Default Crazy good gas mileage in my '98 Z28

SO on my drive back from the Bay Area to San Luis Obispo I figured that I would track my gas mileage. After just filling back up at $4.90 a gallon, I got 30.75 mpg during the trip. That is ridiculous considering my windows were down and i got up to 85 mph in a few places.

That's incredible! I never have exceeded 25 mpg highway in my A4 but my friend's '99 6-speed T/A gets in the 28-29 highway mpg range on long trips too. Many people with 4-bangers will shake their heads at this but it is quite accurate.

Right on! I get pretty decent gas mileage too as long as I can drive it like an adult.

Ya its a 6 speed 1LE so it was pretty much just cruising in 6th with some overtaking

Ya I am going to Cal Poly right now, I am pretty sure that SLO has the highest average gas prices in the state right now, good thing that everything is close together and that I do not drive too much. There are a decent amount of FBodies down here and it seems like everyone is from the bay

These LS1s aren't bad at all on the highway. Most of my driving is on the street so I don't get the best mileage. Gas prices suck here in The Bay Area! 510!

The best I got was 27+ mpg after going WOT a few times in 100 degrees weather, windows down all times AND I weighed 245 and my passenger was 220lbs + 50 more lbs of stuff in the car!

I think I still had 3.42s at this time

But I had a lid and SLP LM and I cant remember if LT and ORY at the time...
