new to 4th gens please help
hi, in early august i should hopfully be buying a ls1. we'll im new to these cars and i was wondering what are the pro's and con's between both camaro's and firebird's and also m6 and a4. at that time i should have around 12.5k to spend on one, is that enough to pick up a fairly decent one? also are there any years that are "better" than another.

98-02 ws6 TA black/black M6... there is no substitute
but it's all the same car, get what you think looks the best. The only F-body I would ever consider owning is 00-02 black/black WS6 M6, i've owned an 02 and now a 00
I thought that LS6 intake stuff was just a BS rumor and if it was true it was only on some 02s

That should be more than enough to get one in good shape with fairly low miles. 98's have better cam but the newer models have the LS6 intake and I think better flowing heads. There should be some sticky threads at the top of each section that gives more information. Also might pick up some information in the newb section. Good luck!

money talks so hold out for a nice condition car, probably less than 75k miles. base TA's then WS6 then firehawk. Z28, SS. just a word of warning. once you start modding its hard to stop. $$$$$$$$. good luck, enjoy!

If you just want the LS1 motor, you buy a Z28 or Formula. If you want more styling, then a WS6 or SS. Get either an 01 or 02...since you'll get the LS6 intake. Other than that, their all the same car. M6 or A4, you'll still have a blast pissing all over Mustangs.
