Default Whats the ZR1 going to run in the 1/4 mile?

I hear that the stock Z06 can run low 11's with DR's on. What will the ZR1 run and if it runs 10's stock, will it need a cage for NHRA rules?

There have been a few stock Z06's run 10s. Ranger ran a 10.91 and another guy ran a 10.87 (?). I'd say high-mid 10's at 130mph for the ZR1, if any of the owners are ballsy enough to track them.

620hp, super light car... hrm, I'd say low 10's if it can hook. Dare I say 9's with DR's?

+1..depends on traction with that much power and little weight. I cant wait to see what kinda times it can pull off with DR's or even slicks.

IDK, I don't think it would need a cage because the car is made to run that fast. It's not like those pintos with 351's that are running 10's.

I think it would still need a cage. the rulebook dosent say anything about the make of the car just under 14 you need a helmet and then a cage under 11 or w/e it is.

Theyll kick you out for running 11.49 or faster if you dont have a roll bar no matter what your in.

I think it might be good for a high ten with someone like Ranger at the wheel, on stock tires.

I think it will run low 11s high 10s. Couldn't see it running mid tens though. With the IRS, I think traction will be an issue.

it'll still need a cage. My cousin's stock '02 Viper coupe got kicked out of the track because he hit an the 11.4. this was 3-4 years ago. But yeah i'd say if it's in the 10's it''s gonna need a cage

I figure it would be worthwhile to run it all out just to get a time then get kicked out

Didn't NHRA lower the times that you would need a cage from 11.99 and under to 11.50 and under? I'm just wondering if they will need to add extra rules to accommodate this car and others that can run those times in stock trim.

I think its been like that for quite some time now, dunno where you heard that. Also guys, its a roll BAR just to clarify. A full cage isnt required until 9's I believe.

I highly doubt it will be 9's with only DR's. I'm going to say 10.4's with DR's, and 10.7 on stock tires in stock form.

Add some race gas, and I'd say you could possibly hit a high 9 or low 10? But I dont think DR's alone would hit a 9 second pass. I could be wrong here.. But I just dont see a 9 second pass comming with only DR's (although I would really like that to happen )

I agree.. Not too many people are going to want to cage their $100,000 car.. But there are some racers out there that probibly will do it.

If it were me, I wouldnt..

I'd just go there to work on launches.. and then let off @ the 1/8... And then if I get a really good launch.. Keep the good run going, and then just exit after the run because they would probibly kick me out.

You could always go 18.0 @ 130 .. lol.
Inch up after the start... wait a few seconds, and then go if you just feel like running for fun.
