Default Sell my WS6 and buy a C5 or keep the WS6

Well here I find myself in a tight spot. I owe nothing on the WS6 and could sell it for close to what I paid for it. I also have a 300C that I can drive everyday in the intrum.

I would like to sell the T/A and pay off ALL of my dept and then buy a C5 for much less that what I pay now in Credit Cards, ect. Have you guys seen the prices of C5's. You can get a nice higher mileage car for 15k or less. I'm not afraid of the miles as my T/A has 130k. I also know the strength of our drivelines plus I'm a Service Manager at a dealer and I'm an ex-tech(professionally - pro if you ask my wife).

Please let me know what you guys opnions are.

As a new darkside convert I say keep the f-body. I love mine and I've only had it since yesterday lol. the big thing about the vette's is the always there vette tax anytime you want something for it. No car payment with credit cards is better than the other.

i converted i LOVE my Vette. Only thing is yes "SOME" things are more expensive such as clutch, headers, anything Vette specific. Otherwise they aren't really any different. Drive one and see what you think

Yeah, I like to see the WS6 and get a wave rather than see a vette and get the **** stare. Though the C5 frc is pretty damn sexy. But the credit card issue is a big one, Paying those down is a great idea over the long run. Go test drive a vette and see?

Do some Research Check on Insurance See how much its gonna be. Don't go From M6 To A4.

I wouldn't Sell T/A For Regular C5. Only C5 Z06.

+1, it would have to be a zo6 for me as well. I'd say keep the t/a, they still make vetts they dont make the t/a no more, if you want a vett you can always get one later on down the road. but hey if you want a vett go for it, one day i would love to own one

Keep the TA for another year or two. Everyone is getting a C5. They're daily drivers around here. The TA doesn't owe you anything so why not save the money you would put out for a car payment?

If you wait and hold onto your TA maybe the C6's will come down in price and you can skip the C5 for something better.

Personally, I would work my *** off to pay off the credit cards. Once they are paid off, cut all but one up and throw them away......

Keep the WS6

Well, your already where I wanna be in about a year. I'm keeping my Trans Am., once it's all paid off.(Trans Ams aren't just a car, they're family)...lol, and then gonna go all out and get a C5, credit cards are already paid down to min., so I'm ready in a year to add a C5 to my corral.

One Question. Have you driven a C5ZO6 yet? I did and saw the light of the dark side. I've owned several f-bodies the last being a 2000 WS6. While I love the look of the WS6 and i had an APS kit for it, it doesn't campare to my ZO6. Everthing about the ZO6 is better. Do it, You won't regret it.

Thanks for the idea's I'm not sure and I agree with everyone about the Z06 but they are still alittle higher than what I wanted to pay. I was honestly looking at getting a normal Targa Top 6 speed Vette. I love my t-tops now and will not settle for a non targa vette; that is the main reason I wont buy a GTO.

It would be sweet to get rid of the credit cards though and I have a hard time selling my car to pay a stupid bill. Its degrading to the car.

The idea of waiting a year so so and going right to a C6 is intriguing along with the idea of waiting for a new Camaro. I will wait until 2011 or 2112 for a new Camaro as Color, Options, Engines, and Wheel choices will be larger.

Keep the opnions coming thanks guys.

Another thought....is it cool to own a C5 at the age of 26. Seriously the car is sweet no matter what anyone says but is that car reserved for older people that are retiered?

yes, it is cool to own a vette young. (but hard to keep once you have kids)

I am in the same boat, and will be getting a vette soon (if I could sell the ws6 for decent money, it would be gone soon)

But personally, I could not own more than 1 vehicle per driver, if I had cc debt, pey that off first, then buy the corvette.

I love the vette - c5 or c6, they are both excellent cars; especially the zo6 models. Cars drive great too. That being said, my wife really wanted me to get a f-body. So I went with a 35 anniversery vert. At first, did not think I would like the car as I really wanted the vette, but after a few mods the car drives like a dream!

I may get a vette in the future, but the vert is excellent and would not change a thing! Go with the f-body (camaro or f-bird), can't go wrong with eaither one.

Well I can speak from experience. I have one of each. They both are M6's but I usually only drive my Vette on the weekends. I drive my TA everyday. I love both in a different way. My advice would be pay off some debt but then again you only live once. If you look around you can avoid the Vette tax on a few different parts. Good Luck

I see C5s everyday driven by old ladies, old men, and rich, spoiled, high school girls. I RARELY see a WS6 or SS unless it's the reflection of my car in a window or one of my fellow F body pals.

Keep the WS6.

That picture is perfect. Which looks better. IMO the ws6.

Fix the credit cards. If you dont, you will regret it.
