Hello,
I have recently been noticing a burnt oil smell coming from my car only after i park it not at all when driving. The weird thing is that the smell isn't coming from the engine bay. I got out of the car smelt it, popped the hood and put my face right in there but didn't smell anything. Then i started to walk away and when i was just past the front tire i could really smell it. I could also smell it from behind the car.

Any thoughts on where this is coming from? My thought it might be oil leaking down on my exhaust then burning off the pipes........

have u looked under the car? could be rear main seal

mine was the pcv pipe snapped in half on the back of the motor the oil was going down the tranny and on the longtubes

Mine does that. Oil pan leaks onto the exhaust pipe and burns off. Smells pretty bad and leaks pretty bad too but I can't fix it until later this winter.

my bad ha..my 86 ta was the oil pressure switch..right now i got a plastic bag stuck ot my xpipe and it smells like **** lol cant get the damn thing off

i would just burn it off completely with a torch
