Bad Lt1 Camaro

This has been going on for over a year now...every time i push in the brakes (even just barely) you hear a popping noise come over the speakers. At the same time my speedometer climbes all the way to 150 mph then back down. This only happens when im at idle..where could the problem be? Thanks
