my security light has been on since i got the car and i have know idea y.

my alarm works and keys are fine. idk if it can do with the radio being changed but idk what else it can be

has anyone had this problem???

May have something to do with the anti theft on your radio. I dont know how to fix it though.

My wife 96 WS.6 has been like that also since we go it. car runs and drives fine though

Neither - the car isn't recognizing the resistance value of the key pelet.
Most likely broken wires on the ignition cyl. If it happened to me I'd just bypass VATS with a resistor.

It's probably in "fault enable mode".

If the light is still on somethings still wrong - the correct nominal resistor(s) should turn the security light off.

Light should come on for a bulb check, then go off if working properly. Here's a basic VATS diagram: http://shbox.com/1/vats_bypass.jpg Fault enable mode means the malfunction happened after the car was started, so sees a problem, and not someone trying to steal the car.
