Default coolant leak insde the car from heater :(

today i discovered a coolant leak in side the car from the heater,i will not change the heater I'm thinking if i could close the two lines coming from the water pump to the heater .
will this cause any problems or should i connect the two lines to each other ?

you heater core is leaking! that always sucks! just take them off the heater core and connect them together it will be fine except you wont have a heater....

what will happen if i close the two lines ?
will this hurt the cooling cycle ?

Yes it will mess with the cycle....just go to the hardware store and buy a male/male connector.

the heater core works like a radiator with coolant going in then out so i think you would be ok to just connect the 2 lines together. im not shure on the awap on a gto tho.

that what happened
after closing both lines the car overheated and a water came out the radiator
tomorrow i will connect both lines
