problems with drl's

i just replaced both drl/blinker sockets after expierncing problems with the d/s blinker. i replaced both figuring it would solve all the problems i was having with the drl system.

normal driving- both drl's on
accessory lights on (1 turn)- fog lights on both drls on
with headlights on- foglights on, p/s drl not on.

during all driving conditions, the blinkers work flawlessly. its during driving with the headlights on, the drl wont stay lit, yet it functions when i use the p/s blinker.

what could cause this problem? if its easy fix im all for it, if not, !drl mod coming soon.

Maybe it's the DRL module? There is a proper way to test it; if someone has a shop manual they can post the process. What year we talking about?

Bulb. It is a dual filament bulb. When lights are off or parking lights are on, the bright filament is on. When the headlights are on, the dimmer filament is on and the bright one is off. In all cases, blinkers flash the bright filament.

Replace the bulb and that should fix it.
