Default Exactly what kind of RP oil and oil filter do LS1's use?

Ok, so it's time for an oil change in my '99 WS6, and I'm going to get Royal Purple. Thing is, I didn't realize how many different kinds there were. There's motor, racing, and different kinds of each. Exactly which one do I need, and what oil filter would you guys recommend?

I would buy the motor RP 10W-30. That is what I use with great results be sure to change it a 3k miles and not like 4k-5k. Filter use anything BUT Fram. I personally use Wix or Purolator either one will be just fine.

Why do you say that? I have a Fram oil filter and haven't noticed a problem... Now I'm worried. Lol.

Nothing wrong at all with FRAM filters as long as you change your oil every 3,000. I use Purolator now, but used FRAM filters for the first 80,000 miles of my now approx. 110,000 mile still like-new 427ci stroker, there's absolutely nothing wrong with them.

Just don't be ridiculous and go 4,000, 5,000 and 6,000 miles between oil changes, 3,000 mile changes is the KEY to a long lasting happy engine, nothing else.
