Trunk on 01 vert don't open with remote.
 

Here's my problem: If i use the yellow trunk release button by the steering wheel, I hear the clicking noise but I need to have someone lift the trunk.

Shouldn't it open and pop up slightly and I lift it open like every other car?

I had an aftermarket alarm(with trunk release module) installed last summer to avoid this issue but even with that, pressing the button opens the trunk sometimes and othertimes it doesn't.

I can hear a clicking noise and sometimes I don't, is the solenoid bad or what?

factory remote, the lock pops, but the hatch doesn't open. Never has. The support struts are too weak for the weight of the decklid.

There's an easy fix for this. It's written up somewhere on this forum.
