1996 Formula 6-speed, wont run is 2,3,4,5,or 6th gear The car takes three tries to start, the check engine light is on, and for some reason it will not move in 2nd,3rd,5th, and 6th gear.
1st is fine though...
any ideas??

well the start problem was just a bad fuel pressure regulator (I also replace the fuel filter for the heck of it).
as for the service engine light, I can't read the codes because there is no power going to the OBD2 port. (which is getting fixed).
as for the trans, the trans is fine. because it was driving fine and then I started it up the next day and I could only accelerate in 1st gear.
isn't there a security setting that will do gear lock-out or something?
I could of sworn I read something about a bad ignition cylinder, or key.
any thoughts?
