Car won't crank over..

Hey guys, this is my first post on here and I wish I could have started out with something better to say but anyways, Monday night I totaled my 2002 Z-28. The problem now is that the engine wont start. Everything looks relatively undamaged under the hood and all, oil levels still good and all that jazz. It won't crank over. You turn the key and everything electronic comes on, then when ya go to start it nothing happens. Any idea on where I can start looking for a solution to the problem? Thanks guys.

Sorry to hear it got totaled but maybe your battery got damaged in the wreck.Did it get on that side or did you see any fluids leaking after the wreck. In all honesty it could be anything wrong with it if it was damaged in the front end.

its an optima red top battery and the voltage reads good on it and all the fluids are still good in it. any other ideas?

Sounds like a bad ignition switch

idk.. could be the ignition switch but it worked soo well before I flipped it.ha Is it a possibility that it set the alarm off and thats why it wont crank over? Also, I landed in a pool soooo...something might have gotten wet. thanks again

Whoa...was the whole car in the pool?

uhh.. i landed upside down on the side of the pool, front half in, back half out, and it was all wet for a few seconds before all the water ran out of the pool.
