Default Oil Pressure and one other question.

I have a 94 Formula. I was wondering if the oil pressure seen in the picture below is normal? I was stopped at a light and my engine was plenty warm as you can see.

Also...one other thing. I removed the intake silencer and replaced it with a V05 bottle. I was wondering if this is ok or not? It was my friends idea and he said it should be fine...but I'm skeptical.

Oil pressures can drop that low at idle when you're that hot. Its just a guage...doesn't mean its accurate.

The V05 bottle thing.....I have no idea.

What does that shampoo bottle actually do?

Does air get sucked into it and then into the engine? please say NO
Is there a filter on it? please say YES then

From what I can tell it just stops the air from going down into where the silencer used to be.

I was gonna say...if air can enter there and go into the engine its unmetered air. So you will run a little lean, which will give you more power, which will kill your pistons.\

So its just plugging up that opening??? Couldn't you get something smaller that looks better. How about cutting the bottle down so its even with the black plastic.

I didn't see the sense in making it look good if I found out it was going to hurt my car in the long run. But yeah....I could easily cut it down and make it look much better.

I think this will give you some better gains

Its dependable, people have been using them for years. especially in Pro Modified.

If you have money to burn try importing one of these, all of Europe's best use them for a massive power gain.

all in good fun, but seriously figure out the real issue and fix it, dont stoop to duck tape and wd-40 fixes.

Thanks for not helping. I just wanted to know if having the silencer off and the bottle in it's place will hurt my car.
