Still have a whisking noise in my front left I would bump my previous post from a month ago if I wasn't on my iPhone and could find it. Anyway, about a month ago I posted up that I was getting a whisking noise in my front left from about 10 mph up to 30 when it either goes away or gets drowned out. I had pulled my tire off an checked for any screws or nails... I didn't see anything. So I posted and my response were to replace the wheel hub assembly. I just finished doing that, and surprise, I still have my noise. Any other suggestions as to what could make a whisking noise every revolution? Could there be something really small in my tire and make that much noise? I'm officially stumped.

I just put on brakemotives power stop pads and rotors last fall. Everything appears perfect on them. I think I'll rotate that tire and see if I can isolate the noise. It will be obvious if it is the tire then. If it isn't the tire, I have no idea.

Man, I swore up and down my DS front hub was bad. I replaced it with a junkyard hub. That was a no go. So I then replaced it with a brand new one. Problem remained. Turns out it was my front right one and it just sounded like it was the left one because, der, I'm on the driver side and that window is the closest to my ear...I like to learn the hard way...and that its pretty easy to tell the difference beween a bad bearing and a good one...Experience is the best of teachers... explore all possibilities...

Well... Fixed my problem, but I feel dumb. When I rotated that tire to the back, I heard a scratching noise as I positioned the wheel on the studs. So I pull the wheel off and look on the inside of the rim there was a little piece of the chrome plating that peeled up. I face Palmed myself so hard. I inspected the tread on the tire but never the inside of the wheel. Damn. At least it is fixed and I don't have to worry about one of my hubs.
