Default 135k on the 98 maro, what should i start replacing to keep it strong for another 80k?

hey folks i got a 98 z28 auto camaro, its got 135k miles on it and climbing, i drive roughly about 250-300 miles a week, had it for about 5 1/2 years and it was my very first and only car. I love my car to death and wanna keep it running strong for another 5-7 years, what do the experts suggest i do to maintain it for longevity without sacrificing performance. I ALWAYS have changed my oil and filter every 2500 miles and do the gas treatment every as well but as far as that goes thats all ive ever done in maintaining it, Anything else you guys suggest i do?

Transmission fluid? Coolant? Differential? Also I would stop with the gas additives.

I'd have the tranny flushed, and I'd flush the cooling system. The gas treatment is up to you, but most of them don't do much but lighten your wallet. Gear oil if you're so inclined.

I've seen one, and only one. But it was intended for a diesel.

Like was stated above.. change out your fluids ... do your regular maintenance schedual per your owners manual and just keep driving it...you may want to change out your U joints and shocks too if they are the originals ... as to the gas treatments the only one that will do anything for you is fuel injector cleaner...I have 205,000+ miles on mine and it is still running strong...it is a DD that makes 452/418

The oil every 2500 is a tad necrotic. Do you use Syn oil? I'm a big fan of oil additives. As long as its not leaking any oil I suggest prolong. Dry starts is what kills your motor. Getting that mileage on your trans, its probably going to go eventually.

At 100k I opted to install a new oil pump, LS6 valve springs, LS2 chain, comp pushrods... and a hotcam *cough* since I was in there anyway. Might be worth it to you to beef up or replace some stuff that was either weak from the factory (pushrods), or subject to wearing out over years (springs). The replacement oil pumps are a bit stronger than what came in our cars. I believe it used to be called the HD pump. All of the above parts (except the cam) came from SDPC, at a good price.

I'm at 143k miles now, and I've replaced the clutch, rebuilt the trans after the pilot bearing chewed up my input shaft, and replaced the rear with an S60 (noisy 10bolt). Still never had a sticky tire on it or taken it to the track
