Default Cleaned my Throttle body an now i have like a 2100 rpm idle AHH!!

i cleaned it out an it jus went crazy...tried not to get any fluid on the sensors an blew them out with air and everything. now when i idle it starts at like 2100 an slowly drops to 1000. but its funny cuz when i start to roll like to 2 or 3 mph it jumps straight back to 2100 or so...if anyone can help please i feel stupid driving the car lol its annoying.

Sounds like you knocked a vacuum line loose, and now have a vacuum leak.

What kind of car is it?
Did you remove any sensors?
Did you remove the TB itself?
Did you disconnect or knock the pcv line or fuel vapor line off the intake? (located right behind the TB)

Did you use compressed air to clean your MAF by chance?

Does it idle and run normal after its warmed up to operating temp?

My car does some wierd things like this sometimes too. Sometimes its perfectly normal. I blame my heavily ported TB, and TB blade.

One thing I do that helps is not take it out of gear until I am nearly stopped and my RPMs are at correct idle speed.

no it can be runnin for an hour or so an still do the same thing ive had brought it close to a stop with it still in gear an it jus pudders then as soon as i throw her in nuetral she starts to scream...not to mention i have longtubes an loudmouths so yea everyone hears it...but i didnt clean the MAF it looked fine so no compressed air there. an as for the throttle cable i can open the hood an hit the throttle jus a hair an it revs up to bout 2grand an sits a sec then drops...so its not the throttle cable

The flap should not have a gap when closed. Try removing the throttle cable to see if it closes.

when i took off the throttle body it had a slight gap between the blade an the body itself an im wondering if the sensors are picking up that extra air that is coming thru the gap. bc even when it is off the car with no cable attached it has this gap from someone excessively porting it...but my question is howcome now...shouldnt it have done this the whole time?

Post a picture of it.
With the TB off you should not be able to see light between the blade and body.
If you can then thats your problem.

Does the stop touch the adjustment screw?

That's a good possibility - if you do a dyno tune on a dirty motor then clean up a lot of stuff, you're likely to be running leaner.

Joshiedoom - I see you're in western KY. I'm from Lex, have some family who live in O'boro.

im not sure if the car has ever been tuned to be completely honest(def needs it!!)...but for the past several weeks the check engine light came on saying the system was running lean...then jus the other day i cleaned it...an it went crazy disconnecting the battery done nothing for me either cuz i figured it would be jus a sensor jus acting up an let it run its cycle...but after 250 miles its not changed
