Default Rear swap now car wont stay running?

Just swapped 10 bolts in my 01 WS6, when i put the car on jack stands it was running perfect, its been on jack stands not started for about a month. battery was dead so i got a new battery, when i fired it up it sputtered and tried to stall, gave it a little gas and kept it running, it drops down to about 300-381 RPM and sputters up and down for 5-6 seconds and then returns to normal idle slowly. Give it any gas and let off it drops to 200rpm and stalls. Ideas? i let the car idle for about 40-45 min b4 calling quits and cleaning up.

edit: should probably add, fuel pressure it good, oil pressure is good.

how is the voltage? Is the alternator charging? If the voltage is low the car will sputter and die, same with the coolant temperature sensor on the driver side head. I know this has nothing to do with a rear swap, but gotta start somewhere.

Drive it, it'll clear up. Idling for 45 minutes isn't going to do it.

+1

This happens to me after every winter, the computer has to relearn idle and for me seems that it has to do it while staying still and also while driving around

Does it rev up at all? I would try cleaning out the throttle plate and iac motor if it is just an idle issue. If the battery died it would reset all the learned idle....
