Default Part Number for center compartment latch

I did some searching through the part number threads for the P/N for the latch that goes to the center console lid/compartment. Mine was broken when i bought the car and never got around to replacing it. Is this part still available through GM and what is the correct part number for a 99 formula. Thanks

The latch for a center console armrest lid is part number 10273749 but has been discontinued from GM, BUT you may be able to find it at a dealer that still has one. I work at a GM wind-down dealer (GM closed down our Buick franchise). I was able to run the part number on a locator and showed two dealers that might have it.
Montomery Automotive 800-999-0230 or 301-931-3800
and
Shepard Chevrolet 800-323-8015

I don't know if they are stock items or held for someone but you can try them. I was able to buy one for my 99 Camaro back in June and it retailed for around $22.00 but my cost was $14.00. If all else fails go to a junk yard. The Camaros and Firebirds use the SAME latch
