Car wont fire up on first try

Car wont fire up on first try This just started happening a few days ago. I'll put the key in ignition and turn it all the way til power comes on and I listen to the fuel pump turn on, then I turn the key completely to start the car and hold it there and nothing happens. The starter does not make a single noise. It takes about five tries and then finally it fires up in less than a second when the starter finally works. what would cause this to happen out of no where?

would a bad ground or a short cause this to happen or the solenoid in the ignition is faulty? I need more feedback people I'm clueless right now. I can't be the only one that this has happened to.
