Default Do They Still Sell Lubra Additive?

Would anyone here happen to know if they still sell this "Lubra Max Plus" motor oil additive by Lubra Systems?

I looked for it on a search engine but couldn't find anything other than the fact that Lubra Systems is now under the ownership of NHC Corp, in Texas. Also checked the AutoZone site, but nothing.

My father wants to find more of this to mix in with his high-mileage 10W-40 motor oil for his '89 Ford F-150 (L6). (The bottle pictured was bought many, many years back.)

Any info is greatly appreciated

Ive been in just about every autostore known and can honestly say I have never heard of that additive. You might consider a can of RESTORE, you can get it at AZ and it promotes ring sealing and cylinder scratch filling, good stuff.

A lot has change in motor oil since ____(fill in the blank). If you buy a quality "high-mileage" "truck" oil from the parts store, it will have all the additives you need for that situation.

Bob is our messiah for these topics: http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/cms/in...d=51&Itemid=58

Not sure how far your Dad is set in his ways, but you may suggest an oil analysis. Given the age of the truck, an oil analysis should tell you what is going on with the engine and it may send you in a completely different direction for oil/additives.

Default Lubra-Max Plus

Yes, Lubra-Max is still sold. I am a sales rep for Chemsearch, of NCH Corporation. It is a big reorder product for my equipment customers.
