Default windshield wipers run even if switch is off

Hey guys... I'm having a problem with the windshield wipers and I need help.

windshield wipers start up as soon as the car does regardless if the switch is in the off position. They were fine yesterday... until last night when I ran them in the rain, then the wipers would move up to the delay position then down, then back up to delay.
this morning I had to pull the fuse because it wouldnt stop running in the low speed with a short delay.

Thoughts?

BCM issue? or Multi-function switch - or wiper motor

Does anyone have a schematic for the BCM? Do the windshield wipers go through there?

car is a 2000 SS Camaro convertible. Had it since new.

this is the part number for the motor cover 12367295, it has a module included with it. i am really not sure if this is what you need, but older cars you could replace the park switch and it was fixed. i also remember the motors not always having the module, its been a while since i was a counterman. i got this from rockauto.com but it is a gm part number, the price diff wasnt that much between the two.

any other assistance would be greatly appreciated. I'm just trying to figure out what I'm getting into and if I could replace the part myself.
