Default STILL stumbling at ~2500 RPM.

So I have a 2000 WS6 and it has the stumble at about 2500 RPM. Just seems to have quite a dip in power there for some reason. I've changed plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter, O2 sensors, cleaned the MAF, everything every thread I've seen has said to do. What could be left other than maybe the tune?

Yeah I would say at the very least to have someone run a scan on it......

Not throwing any codes?

It's throwing EGR and AIR codes from where I deleted it and haven't had it retuned yet, but that's it.

Honestly, you need to get it on the scanner to see whats going on when it stumbles.

I have the same problem with mine. also changed all of those things as you.

does it happend while it changes gear? mine does it at around 50-60mph which is from 2nd to 3rd gear. if i go wot the stumble doesn't occur.

now what i have gathered with my aeroforce gauge is that when i get the hesitation i get some KR between 2-4 or so. in a few weeks im going to get a buddy scan it and possibly tune it for me with hptuners.

i'm leaning towards tuning but not sure why that would be the problem. havent added anything new to it.

I don't know of any LS tuners around here. I was planning on getting a frost tune but that wouldn't really find what my problem is. Would a dealership do it, or what?

Was the problem there before the EGR and AIR delete? As mentioned it would be a good idea to get it scanned.

I know you said it's at 2500rpm. Is that in every gear? Also does it do it at the same amount of throttle pressure? The reason I ask is it could possibly be the TPS. With the way the TPS works I have seen them have "dead" spots with in 0%-100% throttle input. They can get worn in spots, especially spots where you do your most driving because that's where the sensor is a majority of the time.

I hope that makes sense. Keep us updated.

The problem did exist before the AIR and EGR delete. But yes it's in every gear, and it's typically the same throttle pressure. Just average driving throttle-wise. At WOT it doesn't usually have a problem, but I only see 2500rpm on the way up in first gear, so I may just not be noticing. As soon as it passes 2500 it goes back to what it's supposed to do. Just a dip in power there. Would this sort of TPS issue throw a code?

Once again, where would I go to get it scanned?

Any Auto Zone should be able to do it for you. They just check for codes stored in the computer. Anything past that they are pretty much worthless in my experience.

The guy that sold me the car gave me the hypertech with it. I pretty much just use it to read codes. I have no codes aside from the AIR and EGR codes.

OK. There's really no point in taking it somewhere then. Next you will have to start checking things or take it to a shop.

I just re read your earlier post. A bad TPS won't always throw a code.

I wouldn't at this point because we aren't for sure that's the problem. I don't like throwing parts/money at a problem before I know what it is.

The last thing I want to do is say yeah replace it and it's not the problem and you be out 40 or 50 bucks.

So at this point, what's my best move, in your opinion?

Have a buddy loan you LS1 MAF, or go buy a used one. Problem solved, I'll bet you $10.

Ever figure anything out OP?

I to have this exact problem, a slight hesitation right at 2500 rpm's in every gear and at any throttle pressure. my car still has all the air, no egr (01), and cats, just dumped after the i pipe so its stock.

Is the concensus still switch out the maf is my best bet?
