Default Fuel pump gremlins - need help pronto

So to make a long story short, I was in a very mild fender bender recently, then about 200 miles later, my fuel pump stopped working. Checked the relay, it was fine, so I just finished installing a new racetronix pump. Still the same problem as before. When I first turn the key, I get a brief bit of power to the pump and I can hear it kick on, but only for an instant. Then nothing. I'm struggling for ideas, and I am supposed to drive back to school tonight, so quick help is appreciated.

Update, if I jump the relay, the pump runs fine, but the car still won't start. Which leads me to believe it's VATS. So now the question is, how do I fix it? >.<

Another update. I tried bypassing the VATS system by unplugging the key sensor and replacing it with an resistance that is equal to that of the key (1130 ohms in my case), but still no dice. Any ideas? I'm starting to go crazy...
